« 1 of 3 »

Throughout the week, students at Sotpattana School for the Deaf have learned about Buddhist Lent and took part in the preparation of offerings the monks. Then this morning, some of the children dressed up in Thai costumes, while others in flowery tops, and traveled with their teachers, along with preschoolers and teachers of the Pattaya Orphanage, to Nong Or monastery in Central Pattaya to present the Lenten candle and offerings to the abbot and monks. Our children not only learned about religious practice on an auspicious occasion, but also conserved Thai cultural heritage and traditions.
