Signing Short Story

Signing Short Story: The annual Story-Telling Project for 2014 is organized by Sotpattana School for the Deaf on 28th August 2014 in the mini-hall of the Pattaya Orphanage. Trained and directed by Teacher Chotiwan Suksamran and her team, the nine expressive students tell the famous story of “The Rabbit and the Turtle” using signs as well as lovely costumes and artistic stage decorations. The simple skit entertains all present and most of the kids are able to name the moral lessons of the story, i.e. Slow but steady could win the race; Never be lazy; and Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Science Day

Science Day: Special activities this week at Sotpattana School for the Deaf further promote the children’s interest in Science from daily sessions in their classrooms. Following the opening of the Science Day by Rev. Michael Weera Phangrak, the young ones get involved in the experiments of the three learning stations, i.e. Magic Glass, Colourful Milk, and Amazing Magnet. The success of the event is seen in our students observing and exploring things around them, and finding explanations.
